He would  read the label, hand her the bottle, which she then placed in her mouth and supposedly finished off to the dismay of the ringmaster. After handing me the empty bottle, she would reach into the ice bucket and give Bello this shot. Paul might have taken this at dress rehearsal because I remember they immediately started cutting back the water in the bucket until it became more of a spray. She would then tip over the table, stagger around the ring and collapse but most of that was eliminated after complaints from our urbane clientele that Alcoholism was a problem to be taken seriously."
