A 150 YEAR RUN! #3

Lester Orton was manager and overseer of the show and getting it over the road, which was quite a job considering the conditions they traveled under in those days.

Wow! Those photos are something else. Funny how even as old as they are, the seem to bring the people right back to life. I am so please that I was such close friends with Myron Orton. I never would have believed his heritage, as he seldom spoke about it, or may be have forgotten. I remember him telling me that as a child he traveled by covered wagon with his mother and father to make show dates. Myron was not a young man when I worked with him in the mid 40's and he taught me how to drive so I could get my Florida Drivers license at the end of the 1946 season. He was a deeply religious Catholic. Memories, memories, and these photos bring them all back.
