1960-1961. The Big Acts: He is the only trainer in history to work two separate
acts of more than 40 mixed lions and tigers of both sexes. There will never be
another like him. Clyde Raymond Beatty was born on Wednesday, June 10,
1903, in Bainbridge, Ross County, Ohio. He was the eldest of nine. He died at
2:30 p.m., on Monday, July 19, 1965, of cancer, at Community Memorial Hospital,
Ventura, Ventura County, California. He was 62. He is interred in the Courts
of Remembrance, Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, in Los Angeles, California.
