From Wayne Jackson #1

To My Wonderful Wife on our 25th Wedding Anniversary!
27 years ago my Mom told me that she thought “you were too good for me”! A “professional woman”! I decided to give you a second chance! Even after my being awaken at 3:30 a.m. with a case of salmonella, you still agreed to marry me! Even the car crash outside the wedding ceremony didn’t change your mind! The combination of salmonella and bronchitis, kind of ruined the “honeymoon”! When asked by friends you had met and were spending time with, “had we consummated the marriage”, your reply each time was “I can’t get him off the toilet long enough! Over the last 25 years you have tagged along to visit zoos all over the U.S. as well as several in Ontario and Quebec. Even if all the Polar bears start to look the same during a 18 zoos in 18 days, with two days zoo free, you still enjoyed our zoo road trips! You, I am quite sure have seen more zoos and especially Elephants than anyone else in Port Dover, Norfolk County and well beyond! With all marriages, there are ups and downs and you continue to be my “UP”! If it wasn’t for you after my Dad died, I have no idea just how I would have been able to cope!
How many people do you know that got engaged over Monterey Bay and got married at a town hall in Venezuela?
I have a lot of great memories over the last 25 years, but you will continue to be “NUMBER ONE” for me!
25 great years behind us and hopefully a pile more ahead of us!
Luv Ya Always
Your Wanderin Elephant Man
Wayne

Wayne: This is great- I have sent to several friends who wouldn't otherwise see it.

On our twenty-fifth Mary Jane wore the same dress she had married me in.

I wish you many more happy years together.
