To remind viewers of how much we had off the Barnes show at Jungleland, Mabel Stark's arena was a survivor of the Red Forbes school of "make 'em outta pig iron." We had over a dozen of the wooden props seen here. By my era there, the paint job was faded, but the plank braces at the bottoms still had the tin corner covers nailed into place. These all stood unused by then, their mute history having given way to all-steel seats and pedestals.
