From P.J. Holmes

I knew I had a photo of John Ringling's two Rolls Royce's and Mable's Pierce Arrow that the Ringling Museum had in their collection and on display. ( they had a total of 3 Rolls Royce's and 3 Pierce Arrows at one time) I am still working on how they were removed from the collection as John Ringling's will to the state of Florida prohibited any of the collection from leaving the museum? These are on display and part of the collection. Wonder if the state could have them returned if they were removed illegally?
keep up the good work.

The history of the Ringling Circus Museums according to sarasotacircushistory.com states the Circus Museum buildings are built where Mabel's garages used to be.

You might also think of the two mack trucks that were removed and taken to Jacksonville, Florida for "Restoration" that are now the property of the Internatonal Circus Hall of Fame in Peru, IN. Just how did that happen?

These cars have been on display at the Sarasota Classic Car Museum for many years, and I assumed they are are "on loan", still property of the State of Florida. Incidentally, New College owns the land where the car museum is located. The owner of the museum has been told that his lease isn't being renewed and he will have to move the car collection no later than next June. If that is the case, and the cars are still property of the Ringling Museum, might it be possible that they could be returned to the mansion grounds?
