The Howard Johnson's was turned into a college dormitory and some class rooms in the late 90s. I lived in those dorms in 2003. Pretty nice for an undergraduate. The foundation of the circus hall of fame is still there.
Technically, its owned by John Zweifel. It is in Baraboo that was a lease agreement which has since expired. So, its still in Baraboo but not being leased anymore. Bob
My first visit to Sarasota was in 1989 and I was told that the CHOF was closed down. We enjoyed a great day at the Ringling Museum and grounds and caught the Sailor Circus that evening. ~frank

This building fronted on the Trail
just across from the airport
We had a 24 hour Howard Johnson's
a few blocks away (all long gone)
That's the 2 hemispheres wagon just
inside the big glass front
Did that end up in Baraboo or is it
here in the Ringling Museum

Those dorm rooms were actually the
motel behind the restaurant Mark
The front building with the Orange
Roof became a college book store
(thanks Bob a good place for it)
