4 – The show’s winter home was
rebuilt but this time of brick. Here is general view looking from
that same corner of Norman St. and Railroad Ave. where the elephants were
grazing in the second image of this series. This is a view from
about 1905 and shows Railroad Ave. The dominant building in the
near foreground with the painted identification on its gable end was the paint
shop. Further to the right but not shown was another long building
housing various repair shops; its front was closer to Railroad Ave. and it
stretched back parallel with Norman St., also not seen in this image.
