I remember visiting Rex with my Dad [Duke] on CBCB and asking Dad Hey that snake has not moved[the big one]since the last time we were here.I was informed that he was full of sawdust and would be in the same place next time we look!I'm thinking it was about the same time[era] that they had a bear you could pin and win money.I learned that the stairs that led to the bear den was not a good place to sit and watch,he was pretty quick at going back in cage!!
Then there's the alligator that died in Racine (CBCB) and got deep sixed in a drainage ditch on the way to Belit. The show caught a lot of flack from the state patrol for that one. Bob Kitto
Years ago on a little winter show of John Fraser's we "forgot" to load a dead llama and left it on on a lot in Louisiana. After a threatening message from the sheriff of the parrish Jimmy Alred and I had to go back and properly dispose of it, which we did in a ditch behind a construction site.
It's hard to make a pit show attraction out of a dead llama.
