Dear Friends
The International Elephant Foundation has a wonderful opportunity to receive funds through Chase Community Giving, a program sponsored by Chase Bank.
Chase Community Giving will donate $5,000,000 dollars divided among eligible charities as determined by those with the most votes.
There are two ways to vote:
- Any Facebook account holder can vote. Facebook users can go to Chase Community Giving or simpler yet, just click on this link: https://apps.facebook.com/chasecommunitygiving/charity/view/ein/75-2815706?ref=5bfae179d2
- Chase bank customers who do not have to have a Facebook account can go to www.chasegiving.com and vote.
Our projects support community programs that encourage the peaceful co-existence between humans and elephants, and reduce wildlife crime including the illegal killing and trafficking of elephants and the burgeoning ivory trade. Our projects have made a significant difference in the countries of Sumatra, Kenya, Zambia and Uganda to name just a few. With the help of our supporters and project partners, we have shared best practices and built capacity through symposia, workshops, publications and scholarships. Since its founding, approximately 90% of the funds raised by IEF have gone directly to elephant conservation and research efforts.
Voting is already underway and ends on September 19, 2012. We really need your help! Please take a few minutes to vote and then tell all your friends, and their friends to vote for the International Elephant Foundation today!
Thank you for your support

Chase does this a couple of times a year. I have friends with other non-profits who have gained funds regularly from this fund. Please vote!

Kari, I am very sorry. My late wife did not like facebook and was wary of it, I do not like facebook. Nevertheless, I tried close to a dozen times to cast a vote and got nothing but frustrated. I am not a computer savvy person and haven't decided yet whether the internet is a blessing or a curse, of course we all know Buckles' Blog is a huge blessing.
I tried, I support you as much as I can and as often as I can, but facebook stops me cold.
I should add that I get frequent requests from Wildlife Conservation International (The old NY Zoological Society) and they have everything all set up ,you click once and you're on a page addressed to your congressman and senators all you have to do is click a box that says send message which they normally have started for you, but with plenty of room for one's own comments.
Every good wish,
Paul Gutheil
