My dad trained 7 young elephants the winter of 1949-50 "Jenny", "Kay", "Hattie", "Barbara", "Anna May", "Norma Jean" and "Sally" (who was half grown) he called her Sally-Ka-Doola. Needless to say there was no time to spare, strictly business. In the number above the elephant would do an (up and over) and on more than one occasion, tip the cart over with a hind leg coming down from the head stand. Eddie was more terrified of my dad than the elephant and managed to survive the season.
