Here are scenes from the world premiere, Providence opening--I think Mike Sawicky did the promo and me and Nini Finkelstein did the PR for the opening.

Tickets were an unbelievable $5, $6, $7!

The crazy thing is this set pre-dates the current and similar RBBB configuration by about 30 years..... And looks better! How cool that back then this. Set piece had a screen on it for movies! I guess the new Feld shows are not quit as innovative as they think!

We had 2 screens (sheets) both

for front & rear projection so

depending on floor dimensions

we could locate the projection

booth containing 2 automated

systems for both slides & film

I created a unique system of

optical grade mylar mirrors

to act as periscopic projection

We had a sequence of slides that

showed elements from Monaco & also

film clips that included a welcome

by the Prince

Both projectors fired by xenon

lamp houses were operated from

1 of the 2 custom control units

that operated all of the lighting

& sound as well as the effects

2 purple self crated systems that

sat in front of the proscenium

way off house left

The film chain included a modified

Simplex E7 projector very similar

to the Super Simplex shown here

just a day or 2 ago
