Buckles,
If you recall Hawthorn had two globe rolling elephants in on act, Ronnie and Tina that Mack trained, in addition to a barrel that Siam rolled, as well as a turning pedestal that Tina did a front foot stand on while it revolved. Talk about equipment!!! The hardest to handle and haul was the ramps for the globes/balls, as they were about 9 foot long each.

I believe Brian Franzen's "Oka" still rolls a globe.

Why couldn't you get the elephants
to load & unload all that stuff
I remember a Russian bear act in
Monte Carlo where the animals did
all the prop work & I wondered if
they could also do the load out
I think Valentin Filatov on the
Moscow Circus also had the bears
handle all the props
Chic,
As a rule it is easier for bears. They have hands. Elephant's are limited to what their trunk can handle.

Maybe it was easier to train Buckles than the elephants? (just kidding!)
I get it Wade I was only funnin
Not sure Jimmy calls them hands
Maybe the elephants had a better
agent Larry or a better contract
