I thought this gizmo would help highlight the trick.
It's still around, I use it to prop open the barn door.

Chic,
Or you can be some kind of a big shot, and use no gaff at all, and while you are "goofing around" go ahead and boot the elephant into a one foot stand. Geez.......pretty impressive, Buckles. Did GGW every show you his one foot stand?

This was one of Gunther's old discarded tubs that we scrounged out of the junk pile in Venice for the Circus World herd.
Some years later it somehow got mixed up with my stuff.

Buckles,
Tell me about stuff getting mixed up. It can get pretty hectic your last day on the GSOE, can't it. Imagine my surprise when I arrived back in Illinois and found two head pieces mixed up in the meat freezer. Axel had taken delivery of a new set the day we were leaving and was "gracious" enough to point out that he didn't get all the old one's moved into storage, and that he would get the last two in the morning when there would be more room with the tiger truck gone. I can't explain it, and my only alibi is that it was dark and I was tired, but somehow I apparently mistook those remaining headpieces for a 50 pound box of meat, and loaded them up. Go figure. Didn't I feel stupid......
