1937 Mann Expedition #5

This photo was taken at the snake farm run by Bangkok’s Pasteur Institute, which harvested the venom. According to the photo caption, the natives that handled these snakes were fined if they allowed themselves to be bitten, since the venom was too valuable to waste!
