The article included a photo showing one of the two sacred white elephants that were kept behind the Throne Hall in Bangkok, Siam (now Thailand.) (I trust that these elephants were not kept lashed to that framework all the time!) |

I think they need to get some help from Adam Forepaug--his press agents and not him elephant men--to make this a "real" white elephant!

Smokey Jones once worked for a Texas Oil Man named Kilroy who had somehow acquired an elephant and was so impressed by Smokey that he imported two more for him to train.
This all happened in 1964 while we were were at the World's Fair and one day Smokey showed up on his way back from the Orient where Kilroy had sent him to check out the King's white elephants.
I asked him what he thought of them and he replied, "Not much".
I've got some pictures of the Kiolroy Ranch with Smokey driving a convertavle with a little elephant in the back seat.
I'll run it in a few days, I'm backed up right now.
