Very few of these half-sheets have survived (I got this one in a trade with Fred Pfening in 1967). After the Cole show closed in Bloomington, Illinois, on Aug 3, Beatty was moved over to the Robbins show, joining at Bluefield, West Virginia, on the 15th. Beatty's name was also added to the newspaper ads. The 1938 Robbins show was the last rail show to parade in Nashville, not that I remember much about it. |

Dave,
Thanks for reminding me of this terrific image which is now seared into my memory. I'm not sure if it is my advancing years or the fact that I was overwhelmed with the Clyde Beatty Museum that my recollection was foggy.
I will go with the latter, and hopefully will have the opportunity to return before too much time passes!

Dad: It's your advancing years.
