The "Wild West Aftershow" was such an important feature of the Hagenbeck Wallace Circus of the mid-1930s that two posters - both a horizontal (flat) and vertical (upright) variation were created with the artwork being used for several seasons in the 1930s. This particular litho - promoting a performance in Danville, Illinois - was used in 1937, when Howard Y. Bary was leasing the Hagenbeck Wallace equipment and title from the Ringling interests. |
