The bulletin board contained press releases regarding the tragic death of Mrs. Carter, who had raised "Kong" from infancy and was slain during a fit of jealousy. In a moment of Peotic License, Joe included a photo of Al Jolson,s funeral. Buckles |

Smokey and I would often go out front to catch his bally.
We especially enjoyed the part where he requested that gentlemen remove their hats while viewing "Kong" with the admonition that, "a women gave her life for this exhibit!
He once asked an exiting patron, "Well Sir, what did you think of the Mighty Kong?" and he answered "It ain't nothing but a fuckin' monkey! and not missing a beat, Joe shot back, "That's what they all say, the greatest attraction to ever visit your fair city!"
By this time me and Smokey were rolling on the ground.
