Re Percy the porcupine - - he was with Ms. Vidbel on RBBB-Blue in 2009. Here is photo by Alan Campbell. This was the main clown on the show, but I cannot recall his name. In this routine a balloon was burst on Percy's quills. He then ran a short distance along the ring curb and went into his house. Ms. Vidbel told me she had a larger repertoire for Percy but the the RBBB production managers cut it out. I yield to your species identification. I had thought Percy was an African crested porcupine. Porcupines can be quite gentle as shown by the following photo from London zoo in 1940 - -
