My last time to work Detroit, etc. with Clyde Beatty was the year before when he had done the "ring of fear" [Harry Thomas would include mention of the movie in his marvelous Beatty annoncement] Any way frequently he would wear that brown outfit and it just wasn't right for him. The white jodfphurs or boots and breeches, white shirt was the real Clyde Beatty. Jacobs really looked good in a uniform and it fitted him well, but in the end he aklso went for the whites boots and breeches. He still looked O.K. but we see those photos of him on Barnes and RBBB. ijn a uniform and very effective. [in early years all animal trainers wore those uniforms and it looks good] Terrel was a good looking guy as was Beatty.johnny

Maybe it's just me, but in the brown/tan outfit, Beatty strongly resembles the recently departed Jack LaLanne. (Jack passed in January of this year at the age of 96.) ~frank

Didn't LaLanne wear 1 piece blue

jumpsuits & he had a never ending

infomercial hawking juicers as if

they were the cause of longevity

but I can see the resemblance

What a shame that Clyde Beatty

never had that juicer (only VO)
