According to Joe Bradbury, during the parade, the rigging for Betty Hutton’s trapeze struck low, overhead wires on several occasions.
Shocking!
Wonder if the hotel and the Young Company created that sign just for publicity in the film./ff
No one remembered how they lifted wires out of the way during the era of telescoping tableaus, with what were essentially long-wooden handled, two-tine pitch forks.
