From Jerry Digney #2

This looks like a 3 ring single elephant display---did RBBB ever have such a thing?

"This appears to be a display with Hugo's elephant, zebra and llama at the top. Below would be Axel with "Minyak", pony and dog.
But the center ring is indistinct, no elephant tho. Dom might know what it is. Maybe one of the cat acts was out of commission that day."

This was a kind of throway of house acts to get the opening underway and I believe at one time Diana Steohenson presente eifgt dun colored ponies that had bee trained by Mssr. Charly Baunann. Also at one time Ethel Joyce [jennier] would work a combinatio of Jack mini horses.

Hi Buckles,
This photo is most likely from 1960. That was the first year that Ringling painted the ring curbs the red and white stripes.
Also note the drapery around the arena. That was the style used in 1958 & 59 so it would have been available.
In 1960, display 15 had the Stephenson's Dogs (you can see the white pony just outside the ring)in the center ring. Then ring 1 had The Hugos (with Leaping Max the Llama). Ring 3 had Edward Healy and an Elephant,Pony Duo.
I also remember that Hugo also had a zebra and dog with the act at some time.

You're all wrong. It's the then famous liberty cassowary act, soon to be removed due to cookhouse needs.
