It was so great that Ringling dropped their amusement park in my back yard and gave me a place to show off for ten years. I always knew that I was honored to be around show folks especially the seasoned performers who clued me in about the Circus life before Clown College. These pictures give me a greater respect because I can see now that you folks were like the Rock Stars, Movie Stars, and the fantasy life that came into towns around America. I will always be so proud to have spent that short time among you folks.
Did the Vargas show have a similar aerial platform/flag drop in the late 70's or early 80's?
The Beatty Show had a fair size
US flag drop in the early 60s
It may have only been hung in a
few of the longer dates however
In the late 70s I traded Tarzan
a tremendous US flag for a metal
cutting band saw that I still have
The Mother of all flag drops.tanglefoot
I believe this is the one where showgirls climbed up split sections of the flag and each one dropped their section until the whole flag was in view. Somebody correct me. Thanks, johnny
