One of the most popular attractions of 2011 is Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) or "Ultimate Fighting". These events - held in many of the same arenas where Ringling Bros and Barnum and Bailey plays - are selling out from coast-to-coast in both arenas and on pay-per-view. Perhaps the circuses of today should take a cue from the Sells Floto show of 1923 - when "Princess Nyaski" was on the bill with her own brand of "Ultimate Fighting". According to this poster "Un-Armed, Un-aided and Alone She Frustrates Combined Attack". This terrific four-sheet is among the lithos on exhibit at the Cincinnati Art Museum through July 10. This poster will move with the rest of the exhibit to Sarasota's Ringling Museum of the American Circus where it will be on display from Sept 17 to Jan 29.
