President Abe Lincoln, dutifully serving as a float centerpiece for an Uncle Tom's Cabin company parade. The chassis looks like an economical replacement for the original. There were several floats in this set. A number of Tom shows paraded. Best reference on the topic is Harry Birdoff's book, "World's Greatest Hit."
There's a wonderful little UTC pony float in the collection of the Circus World Museum--isn't it Uncle Tom and Little Eva? Any history on who made these, other themes, or how many UTC shows used/had them? Dick Flint Baltimore
