This is one of the 1893 tableau cages assembled for the Ringling Bros. The body work was by their cousins, the Moellers, the applied ornamentation came from the Milwaukee Ornamental Carving Company. A replica of one of these is at the Ringling Museum. Carvings from a couple survive elsewhere.
