White Tailed Colobus Monkey from East Africa, probably from Mt. Kenia district. The word “Colobus” means thumbless – actually the thumb is rudimentary. Although their food consists largely of leaves, these monkeys are considered difficult to keep alive in captivity and consequently are rarely found in zoos. |
