Hagenbeck-Wallace. Parts of this tableau are preserved at the Miami County Historical Museum in Peru, Indiana.
My dad was with H-W in 1922 working for Burt Noyes on elephants.
Surprisingly he is listed in the route book as working an end ring act.
Not bad for an 18 year old.

That's interesting that your Dad was on H-W. For Christmas my daughter got me the book, "The Great Circus Train Wreck of 1918" (She knew I'd love it because it was about a circus and trains!)
Anyway, it's the story about the H-W's big train wreck outside Hammond, Ind in June of 1918. Some good pics in the book from the Miami County Historical Museum.
Only about halfway through the book, but really interesting. Richard M. Lytle is the author. It's a re-work of a previous book that was out of print and updated in this version.
