Yes,I just spoke with her. Mary Jane Miller is on the bottom trap, holding her is Joyce Faye Seawell. Joyce actually was one of the oringinal members of the Flying Otaris. The came from Russia. Jackie
What did Joyce Seawell's husband do? Can't seem to remember. The Otaris did one of the last criss-cross flying acts, in the 1930s, a very old style presentation. I have a nice poster of the act. Are you sure about Russia as neither Faye nor Otari sound Russian. Dick Flint Baltimore
I would have been the 'constashioneer' in the center of the photo about to walk on top of the guard rails from one section to another. (And if this picture were taken in the 70's, Charly would be ready to chew my a** out when I got down.) ~frank
Dick I am not sure about anything anymore. Mary Jane gave me the information. I will talk to Dorita Estes who's ]arents were China and Dorothy Derbin. She will know. I always thought Joyce was German. I will try to find out. Of course knowing circus acts, you could be German in a Russian act, couldn"t you? Jackie LeCLaire
