Good reports on the new show!

Unfortunately I was detained due to a severe case of NFL Play-off 'itus".
But I was about the only member of the family who didn't attend yesterday's closing performance of RBBB at the Forum down town.
My seat was taken by Hazel Bradley a long time friend dating back to our days in Hugo.
I must say they brought back a glowing report. Barbara was especially impressed by the number of show girls and complemented whoever did the choreography.
Plenty of animals and good acts, they even got there in time for the kids to get involved in the pre-show thing.
Looks like a winner!

At first glance at the Don Covington photo above, I thought the lady with Kenny was his wife Bonnie but I now find that all three daughters are involved with the show.
I wonder which one has the concessions? She might be interested in loaning our Government a few trillion, might even ace out the Chinese completely.

A winner indeed!

A HUGE and loudly appreciative audience on Saturday night in Tampa for Ringling's "Salute To The Troops." All five military services were individually identified and their members asked to stand and be recognized. Ringmaster Brian Crawford Scott also paid tribute to those deployed around the world. Colors were posted by the U.S. Central Command Joint Service Color Guard, followed by Ringmaster Scott singing the Star Spangled Banner. Even the traditional show-opening elephant was standing at attention!

Awesome! I hope it was taped.
In 1975 we did a show at camp Pendleton, CA for the Vietnamese refugees. There were 40,000 living in tents on the base and the clowns rounded up an audience by cruising through the camp in the clown car. We had high-wire, animals, clowns etc. All outdoors. I even bought some smokes off a ten year old kid with TONS of moxie. It was surreal and wonderful all at the same time.
