From Buckles #2

Herd on the way to the lot in 1952.
Arky Scott astride "Harold" and Benny White on the first team.
Benny was the younger brother of Charlie White one of Robert Reynolds assistants on props. and later Prop Boss.
After the Ringling Show folded, Charlie (Chop Chop) became a stage hand up in New York and eventually a millionaire no doubt.

Looking at all the elephants brought back memories of the 1955 edition.

That was the year of the fabulous "Mama's In The Park" number.

Twenty five mama elephants pushing baby carriages with twenty five baby elephants in them.

This past weekend, RBBB Blue was here in town and they had 5 elephants.

Two of the "good guys" Tommy and Charlie. Tommy was also one of the famed Beatty "gun boys" Charlie was a great guy and saw him frequently in the Garden when I was With Ranglan. Later he would spend alot of time with the "jackpotters" at the Big jOHN COMPOUND and then around Walker Bros. Sincerely Tanglefoot Herriott
