Picked to lead Diana’s safari is Clyde Beatty. As the two discuss Clyde’s fee, Bud listens in, beginning to suspect that there is big money to be made from Lou’s map.

I think this movie was the only time Mr Beatty pronounced his name with the long "e" as Bee-ty. I wonder if they had already shot some footage saying Bee-ty before they did the scenes with him, which is to say before he arrived on the set, and rather than reshoot those scenes (this was pretty low-budget) they asked him to play along.

This was my impression too, since this picture looks like it was shot in my garage.

But clever writing could have given us a comic bit when big-mouth Lou was corrected to BAY-tee.

We did have Sean McClory as "Dublin O'Malley", the RING OF FEAR ringmaster, saying Bee-tee, while everyone else in the picture said it correctly. When I met Sean, and had hours of visits with him, he said Bee-tee all the way. I'll take another opportunity to brag on a fellow Irishman, especially since he was a pureblood, in saying Sean was a witty, gentle, warm fellow who became an immediate friend until the end.
