My dad would have been 100 today.

The great boast of his boyhood was that he'd seen Buffalo Bill.

The Ringling Bros. leased the entire John Robinson show in 1898 for one season only. What is the connection with Ben Wallace, John Robinson, Gordon Lillie, Wm. Cody and Edward Arlington and the Ringling Bros. in 1909?

This is simply a montage of 1909 owners, and not a "happy family." In real life, Ben Wallace would never have gotten as close to the Ringlings as this picture depicts.

The B&B contracts with Arlington and his father were conveniently not renewed following Bailey's passing, placing them "at liberty." The B&B office denied that they were fired, using choice wording that would make a HR official proud today. He was involved with Lilie for a while and then connected with the Miller Bros.

Happy Birthday, Dave Sr. I met a man who saw Buffalo Bill.

Was it Merle Evans?

Well, now that you mention it I knew two people who had been on the Buffalo Bill show. I do not say "worked" on the show as both were childen at the time.

But I also knew a man who had worked on the Frank James-Cole Younger Wild West.

Alas all the above have gone to that great grassy arena.

Charlie Lucky was prop boss and Wife Katy did a wire act known as the "lucky Sisters" on the Floto Show With BB Cody and I mknew them and Merle well, so I "shook the hand that shook the hand" of Buffalo Bill Cody. Tanglefoot. "Have tux and will travel".
