In the early days of Robert's family's own show his Dad had a lighting plant in a cage type wagon like this one.

The plant was immaculate - polished pipes, lino floor etc and Alby Sr used to park it out the front where it was an attraction in itself.

dad said kids would ask Mr what sort of an animal is a power plant.
later years Bob my dad would run 3
english lister diesel engines
each 15 kva that was ample power
for our show.
