Luke Anderson told me that he accompanied his father up to Hall's Farm when he purchased "Ena", "Mabel" and "Mona".
It was the first time he met my father who was in charge of the 30-odd elephants in the barn. Most of which had been returned by the
purchasers due to the Depression.
I'm sure Bud got a good deal as did Terrell and Adkins the following winter.
