He was thrilled to do it and I made him a copy also and for one Bob Childress.
What a very gracious man from Ville Platte, Louisiana.

Dick Flint said...: King Charles is off the road this year but last year put up the arrows ahead of Bob Childress' Lewis & Clark. He got a charge out of my remembering when he had the big show band on Von Bros. in 1964. Eight pieces on the little Von show, and new white canvas just 3 days old when I caught it in Jume. It was the first time Vonderhied ever bought a top new.

Anonymous said...: The horn is a mellophone and is played with the right hand instead of the left like a French horn.
The guy was probably a trumpet player and the horn has a more mellow tone than a cornet or trumpet.
