I got an old Kelly Miller route book and got a pictue out of it of King Charles and got him to autograph it.
He was thrilled to do it and I made him a copy also and for one Bob Childress.
What a very gracious man from Ville Platte, Louisiana.
Sweet Georgia Brown.

King Charles is off the road this year but last year put up the arrows ahead of Bob Childress' Lewis & Clark. He got a charge out of my remembering when he had the big show band on Von Bros. in 1964. Eight pieces on the little Von show, and new white canvas just 3 days old when I caught it in Jume. It was the first time Vonderhied ever bought a top new.

Interesting to see a french horn in the band. Probably soloed on classical tunes.
Obviously a windy day with the Banners at 1/2 mast...Buckles is this the same time frame that you rolled up Odie's cable and Light also???...
No that was the year before with Big Bob Stevens Robbins Bros.
Not much heat with Kelly-Miller.
Odie did join later but worked low key.
The horn is a mellophone and is played with the right hand instead of the left like a French horn.
The guy was probably a trumpet player and the horn has a more mellow tone than a cornet or trumpet.
