Makes me wonder how many clowns
had tiny cars & were they all
powered in similar fashion
I seem to recall Italo having
some miniature really slick
Italian sports car a while back
Greg showed a video of Bobo's act when he appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show. Believe it or not there was Bobo, 5 (count 'em 5) dogs, a suitcase, a live skunk a a coronet literally stuffed in this little machine. It was unbelieveable.
Flint
Good thing PETA wasn't around then
It must have been tough on the
coronet & the suitcase
Coronet as in crown or cornet as in instrument?
Bob Kitto
I can't remember the gents name that was Bobo's assistant. Both were a pleasure to work with on any show. I believe the tune Bobo played in the show was "Peg o My Heart". The blow- off of his act was one of his fidos on the turn table. He always went over great.
Bob,
Coronet as in the band around the top of a horse's hoof from which the hoof wall grows.
Wade
There have been quite a few clowns with mini clown cars. Toto, the Italian clown performed with one in Europe and this country. Lou Jacobs of course, Kinko Sunberry, Mark Anthony,Billy Vaughn,Chris Bricker,Ray Cuddy,Terry Parsons, Benny Fornisari and most recently Kelly Ballagh on the Blue Unit of Ringling.

Many thanks Greg as I knew that
there was a mess of them but had
no idea of who all had them
I know at least a few were gas
but I think most were electric
Maybe it was Benny that had that
really slick tiny sports car
Please get in touch with me Greg
if you get the chance
Let's not forget Hip Raymond!
If anyone knows where Hip's trailer is in Gibtown, PLEASE shoot me an email!
Bill Strong had gone over and tested it out for me a few years back and told me that it still ran fine and that all the props were in a Wells Cargo trailer.
But he never told me where or who I needed to contact.
I'm still VERY interested and will be back down this December ; )
