If you look closely at the picture you will notice that the "Giraffe Neck women" also wear the brass coils around their legs.

Is this a coencidence that she's holding A Bird or meaningfull ?
Evolving out of my teens with A Bohemian Flavor in 1964 , I can't help thinking of Terms used in the
50s CHICKS ( more American to me )
60s BIRDS ( more British to me )
& they do also have A Bird Like Stature on the Profile .
In the Past & Spacificaly through the Renaissance Period is was Not Uncommon to elongate a females neck in A Portrate - To Portray them with A Very High Status & Admiration .
