Note the giraffe at the far left. The new giraffe island was not set up in the Garden basement. That would await the canvas opener.

In the Garden’s basement the cages and other exhibits were scattered all around - - not at all like the uniform configuration seen in the menagerie tent.

I’m pretty sure the **Kangaroos** in the cage labeled as such were actually wallabies, which are much smaller.
