When yesterday’s mail arrived, it contained what I first thought was a circus magazine. Instead, it turned out to be the February 2010 catalogue for Anthropologie, a company that sells women’s clothing and accessories. For this photo shoot, they rented what appears to be some vintage circus equipment. Although there was no indication as to where the shoot took place, I’m guessing that it was somewhere in the Southwest and perhaps outside of Los Angeles, where it would have been convenient for them to rent what they needed from some museum or Hollywood prop house. (One of the trucks is lettered “Klondike Brown’s Wild Animal Show,” which sounds like something that Hollywood would have come up with.) Perhaps someone out there was connected with this shoot or will recognize some of the props and can provide us with some more information. |

There is a circus equiptment / movie rental company in Los Angeles called "L.A. Circus" that is run by Chester Cable and Wini McKay. I had sold them some wagon wheels a few years ago.
I'm sure this equiptment belongs to them
