Baker Tent starbacks001

Baker Tent starbacks001, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

Here's a good drawing from my Spring 1930 catalog of Baker-Lockwood, based in Kansas City, Missouri, that shows how a section of starbacks also incorporated foot rests as well as how the backs appeared folded down.

Only TWO jacks on this one!

Dick, these are wonderful drawings that you should share with The Little Circus Wagon for our modeling friends! Many of our contemporary friends do not know this kind of detail. Cole grandstand is probably the closest one would see today. Not sure how many modelers are there for set-up to see this process done in the mornings.

There's a misprint (or miscount)

when they get to 12 rows they

are showing 77 seats instead of

84 (at 7 per row) or they meant

11 rows instead of 12
