RBBB Winter Quarters #1 (From Eric Beheim)

RBBB Winter Quarters-1, originally uploaded by bucklesw1. I acquired this souvenir guide to the RBBB Sarasota winter quarters a few years ago on eBay. There is no copyright date or anything else to indicate when it was printed. I’m guessing it dates from the late 1940s, although some of the stock photos were taken earlier than that. All of the paid advertising is for local Sarasota businesses rather than the big national advertisers like Coca-Cola or Ford. (I wonder how many of those businesses are still around today?) The aerial view of winter quarters on pages 14-15 provides a good overall idea of how it was laid out and where the various buildings, barns, practice arenas, etc. were located relative to each other.
