Zoo Elephants #2

In 1951 "Lydia" was delivered to the Kelly Miller Show and my dad said this was the smallest elephant he had ever handled.
From the concession stand in the menagerie I could see they had placed her at the end of the picket line with the smaller elephants and I asked him why he didn't put her up with the big elephants since it would be an opportunity to show the contrast in size.
He answered, "Also an opportunity to get her tail chewed off!"

Was this Lydia one of the elephants Bobby Gibbs worked? If so she was my favorite when he brought her to the Shrine Circuses here.
