From Buckles

Ben underwent surgery yesterday morning at the Brandon Hospital due to extreme internal bleeding. The operation lasted about three hours.
I saw him briefly afterward at post-op but he was entangled in tubes and wires and pretty much out of it. His mother later told me that everything went well and his first request was for someone to fetch his lap-top.

Wow! Is this the same Rigormortis from back at Circus World and the Blue Show? Hello, if it is you Rigor! Glad to hear you are still out there. I was married to Ben way back then, and was the one who worked at CW sometimes picking up varios poo, taking care of Turk (Barbara's horse) and on the road, did the act with the 2 leopards and elephants and my son Shane and I worked a 5 act with Ben..awwwww..those were the great old days! And we were so young and adorable!! LOL Hope all is well with you and yours. Take care! Karen Glenn..

Buckles,
I was sorry to hear of Ben's need for emergency surgery. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting him personally, I feel that I know him through your blog. I have had friends who have been treated at the Bradenton hospital and understand that the have a good staff there. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery and know that our thoughts are with the family at this time of stress.

He looked much better yesterday. He had been moved to a recovery area and upon our arrival was being sympathized with by a red headed Irish Nurse.
Dalilah's condo is only a few miles from the Hospital and visits several times a daily.
She called today saying that he would be moved to a permanent room tomorrow and should be released in about a week but it will be at least six weeks before he can return to work.
