What a fantastic picture. I am preparing another book with my son about Alfred Court during his time in the UK. Do you think you could send me a high resolution copy of this picture? I would love to have it. Mrs Court, by all accounts, was a very elegant lady as can be seen in this image. Her maiden name was Vaserot. She was the sister of Andre Vaserot, the long time horse and exotic trainer for Bouglion's Circus in France. I often spoke to Andre about Court when he was at Blackpool with the Bouglion horses. The Courts never had any children. However, they did adopt a daughter called Mary from Pat Borne, one of Court's female trainers. Tragically she drowned when she was three years old. Mrs Court always dressed in black after this tragedy and never came out of mourning.
