Buckles: This fine artistic poster was printed by Morgan Litho in Cleveland. Morgan was a high-class org and as a rule their work would be out of the reach of Wallace Bros. I believe the poster came about in this manner: Morgan used to do a lot of work for the movies and I suspect this image began life as a movie poster that and Morgan made copies available with a blank space across the bottom for Hoot to use as he wished for personal appearances etc. So when he signed with Wallace Bros for 1937, this poster is what resulted. Or at least that's my two bits worth.

As is well known, Gibson soon deserted Wallace Bros in midseason for that other Wallace show: the Hagenbeck-Wallace Railroad Circus. The story was told that the original Slick Willie- Bill Moore- had lured Hoot away from the Ray Rogers-owned outfit. And as is also well known, Hoot went out in 1938 with Adkins and Terrell's number two show: Robbins Bros, where some of the Erie poster designs originally made for Wallace Bros were rehashed with the Robbins title. Question: Was there any 1937 Hagenbeck-Wallace paper on Hoot?
