You don't have to drive a get away car today, you ride in a limousine, just be the CEO of Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae or a Wall Street banking firm. It's all legalized with Congressional oversight and board approval.

The Last time I saw The "Bonnie and Clyde Death car" in person...Was when I was heading to Heber City Utah to the Jordan show..Had stopped off at Whiskey Pete's (Primm NV) for Fuel...and to see the Original(actual) car there...After seeing the Car..The Fuel attendant said RBBB was at the Thomas and Mack in Vegas...Pullin into the parking Lot by the animal top...Mark and I found Buckles and King Tusk..(He was waiting for the route to be watered So the rest of the Herd could do the "Walk"..If memory serves me..I Remember Buckles asking Mark and I who was on the truck..When we replied "Gyp & Joy"..Buckles answered..."Well, You can Open the Doors..But don't GET that Gyp out!"......

There were several Bonnie and Clyde death cars on exhibit over the years. One of these shows was put together by Bill Siros after the movie came out in the late
1960s.

I remember him saying, "Yes, those are real bullet holes; I know that for a fact as I put them every one in myself." Actually sometime after the car was gaffed up they found a picture showing another bullet hole and that one they simply drilled in.

I remember there was some concern at the time over whether or not the real car had a trunk on the back; they wanted the exhibit to match any photos that might come to light.

Bill was pretty slick. There were dummies of Bonnie and Clyde in the car and if the heat was too great about it being a gaffed car, they would just exhibit the figures. After all the ads read "Bonnie and Clyde as they died" and Bill figured that the dummies alone satisfied the ad.

When I was working for the Texas Dept of Corrections I once met old man Ted Hinton, who had been in the party which shot Bonnie and Clyde. Apparently that had been the claim to fame he had lived with all those years.

Jerry Collins (No, not that one) a Retired Kansas corrections Officer and Booking Agent for Culpepper and others gave me 4 photos from right after the shooting..His Grandfather was part of the Party also..In one photo it says "Charles Stanley and his Bonnie and Clyde car..In another it is a photo of Bonnie on the coroners table..and 1 is a photo of Bonnie Parkers Tombstone which reads...

Bonnie Parker
Oct.1 1910 - May 23, 1934

AS THE FLOWERS ARE ALL MADE SWEETER BY THE SUNSHINE AND THE DEW,SO THIS OLD WORLD IS MADE BRIGHTER BY THE LIVES OF FOLKS LIKE YOU.

The other photo is another shot of the Car......

I was going to use them in the Show as a Crime does not Pay Exhibit...But never did because Folks ask all the time if the attractions are Real or just Photo's..and I like to to truthfully reply..No Photographs..There all real in the Flesh that the Good Lord gave em...

Jim Z: Anyone out there still remember Floyd Collins? The guy who died in the cave?

I once knew a guy who had briefly made a living with a store front walk-thru exhibit consisting entirely of 8 by 10 photos of Floyd, the cave, etc etc.

Didn't get rich but kept bread on the table at maybe a dime a pop.

"See Floyd Collins as he died in the cave; hey come on in..."

Not that I know of? However, I'm a Newcomer to the Backend...A lot of people come up and ask if I remember Harvey Boswell's "Gold Tooth Jimmy" and of course Everyone asks if I know Poobah...I truly believe Little Pete is more Famous than Santa Claus...

Zych,
Speaking of of Jerry Collins (the prison guy) He was here on the lot yesterday, and I assume he will appear again while we are in Leavenworth.
