The inspiration for these two outfits has got to have been from the movie Stan and Ollie on the road to Istanbul.

I can recall when Bobby's outfit earned the nickname "Mr. Wizard."

Some elephant guys back in the mid-19th century wore wardrobe like Buckles, emphasizing the exotic nature of the beast. The reactions of the town ladies wasn't recorded.

They should rewrite the song Stranger in Paradise to "REALLY STRANGE in Paradise"...

Paul Binder approved that wardrobe just for the laugh, he didn't care if it was orange, purple, polkadots or burlap.

ps, Is the elephant smiling or laughing?

This was the finale and the audience was induced to clap in unison in time with the band like they do in Europe.
After making a complete circle I would pose "Peggy" at the back of the ring for the final salute and to add a touch of class, Bobby and I would do the bump-butt dance along with the music.

Be still my heart. Finally something for the ladies to swoon over. cc

The look on your face and the stance just looks like you are challenging anyone to say something.

Buckles,
I gotta keep this picture for next time somebody starts to bust me about the Gunther bra's. I can just pull this out and point out I could have gone this direction with show finery. A beautiful moment in Show Business history.
Jimmy and I did that butt bump deal a couple of times, but that was because we were trying to get in the door of the Hungry Lion restaurant for chicken, with only 5 minutes between shows, and we didn't get a standing ovation like you and Gibbs did.
