The Big Apple Circus

Scan10684, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

Hi Bill,

I am enjoying the pictures and comments on the subject of circus wardrobes. I must say that you always looked elegant in your tuxedo, like James Bond, but some of the costumes from Seventies were certainly different, but then again that was look of the time. My question for you...Were you ever presented with a costume, look at it, and just say "no"?
I hope all is well.
Henry

You look like you were doing the 'washer-woman' gag with Barry Lubin!

My dad use to say, Wearing That get up is the sign of a real trooper or a man who just received an upgrade from A.C.Nelson.

I don't know what the difficulty is - Yul Brynner did ok with this getup! cc

Unfortunately, one highlight not distinguished here were the curled up toes on the shoes.

Never at a loss for words, my mother remarked, "That's the damndest outfit I ever saw!"
